After receiving an honorable discharge from the US Air Force as a sensor technician, I joined DSS in 1997. I have been married for over 30 years and have two grown children. I enjoy video games, reading and spending time with my family.

Customer wanted DSS to add an intercom as well a door station. DSS installed one answering station with audio and video. DSS also installed a wall mount adapter for the main entry intercom. Lastly, we installed the wedge on the front door unit. As always, we tested the unit to make sure everything functioned properly.

Customer called in because their intercom was not working. We checked the call box at the front door and found the unit was dead then checked the file room and found the rack was dead. Next, we found the 110 plug at the wall and verified the power was good. Finally, we reseated the UPS power plug and the system powered back up. As always, we verified with client that equipment was working.

Customer wanted to move DSX and camera software to new machine. We successfully backed up the DSX, version 3.9.3 files and installed new DSX software onto the new virtual com server. Converted the database and verified the data was good, keyed the software to the new server and backed up the database. Finally, we changed the settings on the Lantronix unit and the verified DSX was communicating.

The customer requested that all (44) cameras be cleaned and adjusted. Dallas Security Systems, Inc. successfully cleaned and adjusted the cameras we could access with a 24ft extension ladder. We also replaced some old cameras with new ones. At the end we tested all cameras to make sure that they were functioning properly and adjusted to view areas that the customers requested.

The customer contacted us to have a mag lock and exit button setup for the cage door. We pulled new wire from the DSX panels to the maintenance cage door. Installed and secured pipe at the door. Terminated the wires and reprogrammed the door. After the service was completed, we tested the door and verified that it worked properly.

Customer contacted us to troubleshoot one of their gates that was malfunctioning. We accessed the gate controller and found that the loop detectors were unplugged at the gate motor. So, we reconnected the transformer, verified that the gate loops were working, and corrected the programming on gate down output for time zone triggers. Upon completion of the job we verified that gate operation for exit and entry was working.
